According to a statement released by the association on Friday, the talks
focused on tourist tracks in
Jordanian cities and governorates.
Researcher and professor of archeology at the Hashemite University, Mohammad
Wahib, said that
the Greater Amman Municipality is working to develop around 14
paths, including international, regional, and local tracks.
The international paths that cross through Amman include the
International Incense Road and the Elaf Qurashi Road, which start in the
Arabian Peninsula.
Most of the regional paths include those that follow the Hijaz, while local
paths in Amman include the path of the youth at Raqeim Cave, the path of Cardo
and Decmanos Street, the path of the baptismal site, the Amman Heritage Walk,
the path of the astronomical sundials, the path of the
Prophet Mohammad, and
the path connecting Jabal Al-Qalaa and the center of the country, which is
currently being developed.
The attendees recommended that tour guides organize a visit to the new routes
to put them on the map, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
