Arabiyat pointed out in a statement that the board will follow up on these agreements through business visits and regular meetings to ensure achieving the desired goals from this participation.

The Jordan Tourism Board concluded its participation in the Russian Tourism and Travel Exhibition, which was held in Moscow from March 18 to 20. The participation represented an important opportunity to promote the Kingdom as a main tourist destination for Russian tourists.

According to the statement, the Jordanian pavilion at the exhibition had a prominent presence, with participation from tourism offices, hotels, and Royal Jordanian Airlines, which provided an opportunity for professional meetings with major Russian tourism companies and introducing visitors to the various tourism offers provided by the Kingdom.

Arabiyat said: "Our participation in the Russian exhibition comes as part of the board's strategy to enhance Jordan's position as a major tourist destination in global markets, especially the Russian market, which is considered a promising market. We have noticed great interest from Russian tourism companies, and we are working on strengthening cooperation with them to increase the number of Russian tourists to the Kingdom."

He added that the Jordanian pavilion provided visitors with an integrated experience of tourism in the Kingdom, highlighting famous archaeological sites such as Petra, the Dead Sea, Wadi Rum, and Jerash, in addition to religious and therapeutic tourism.

Arabiyat confirmed that the board will continue its efforts to attract Russian tourists, pointing out that the Russian market has seen significant growth in recent years, reflecting the interest of Russian tourists in the tourism assets Jordan offers, whether in terms of natural beauty or cultural and historical sites.

He expressed optimism about increasing the number of Russian tourists to Jordan this year, noting that efforts are ongoing to provide the best tourism services and enhance the visitor's experience, which contributes to achieving sustainable growth in the tourism sector in the Kingdom.

Arabiyat also pointed out that the available facilities for Russian tourists have been promoted, such as easing visa procedures and enhancing direct flights between Jordan and Russia in coordination with Royal Jordanian Airlines and other airlines.

For his part, the Jordanian Ambassador to Moscow, Khaled Al-Shawabkeh, emphasized during his attendance at the exhibition the importance of enhancing tourism relations between Jordan and Russia.

The exhibition witnessed numerous meetings between the Jordanian delegation and major Russian tourism companies, where ways of cooperation were discussed to boost the flow of Russian tourists to Jordan by organizing special tourism trips and joint promotional offers.

The possibility of launching intensive marketing campaigns on social media platforms and Russian media outlets was also discussed to introduce the Russian public to the unique tourism advantages of the Kingdom.

It is worth mentioning that the Russian exhibition is one of the largest tourism events in Russia, gathering thousands of exhibitors and participants from around the world. It serves as a key platform for establishing tourism partnerships and exploring the latest trends in the travel and tourism industry.
