AMMAN —
Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association asserted that the tourism sector currently operates at 40 percent
of its pre-coronavirus capacity, according to Hala News.

The association’s spokesperson said that the tourism
sector is experiencing a resurgence and significant improvement, due, in part
to the government’s relaxation of measures that were imposed to deal with the
pandemic.
He added that the foreign tourists come to the
Kingdom mainly during autumn, so a marked improvement in the number of tourists
arriving in the Kingdom may is expected in the Fall, bringing Jordanian tourism
activity to the levels before the pandemic.
He said that tourism from
Eastern Europe is completely
interrupted as a result of the Russian-Ukrainian war, including from Russia,
Ukraine, Poland, and other neighboring countries, while tourism from
traditional European markets, “Western Europe”, such as the UK, Germany, Spain,
the Netherlands, Italy, and other countries is recovering.
