AMMAN— Chairman of the Jordan Hotels Association Abdul Hakim Al-Hindi, said on Friday that hotel occupancy rates in Jordan differed during the weekend, according to Khaberni News.

Hindi stated that occupancy rates in Amman hotels during the weekend amounted to 43 percent, while in the
Dead Sea 82 percent and in Petra 52 percent hotels, in Aqaba it reached 55 percent.
Governor of the Central Bank, Adel Al-Sharkas, said in a previous statement that tourism income in Jordan is recovering in a way that exceeds expectations, achieving a growth of 204.5 percent during the first seven months of 2022, compared to a decline of 18.3 percent for the same period in 2021. As such, it is expected to return to its pre-pandemic level by the end of this year.
