Trade minister inaugurates Jordan Fashion Exhibition

AMMAN - Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply Yousef Shamali inaugurated Jordan Fashion Exhibition (JFE) Thursday.

Shamali toured the venues, which house trade and industrial pavilions for more than 30 companies specialized in the garment and footwear sectors, aims to enhance wholesaler-retailer contact in all the Kingdom's governorates.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) President, Khalil Haj Tawfiq, said the event provides a platform to network retailers, wholesalers and importers, and an opportunity for the consumer to check the local goods in the market.

Meanwhile, Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI) board member and Representative of the Leather and Knitting Industries Sector, Ihab Qadri, said the exhibition is the beginning of a "practical" step to increase the market share of the Jordanian manufacturers and introduce their quality and diverse products to raise their market stake and enhance export opportunity to neighboring markets.
