In the department’s daily traffic report, the spokesperson emphasized that such violations represent serious road safety risks, as unlicensed drivers lack proper knowledge of traffic rules and right-of-way priorities, significantly increasing the likelihood of accidents and injuries.

Meanwhile, the Highway Patrol Department dealt with multiple incidents caused by speeding and driver distraction, which resulted in sudden lane changes and loss of vehicle control.

Among the most severe accidents:

A rollover on the Desert Highway, just before Al-Hasa Bridge heading south, left five people injured.

Another tragic accident occurred on the Jaber–Mafraq Road, resulting in the death of a young girl and injuries to three others.

Both departments urged drivers to:

Follow traffic laws,

Ensure vehicles are roadworthy before driving,

Avoid speeding and distractions,

They also reiterated their full readiness to assist road users 24/7 via the emergency hotline (911).
