AMMAN—
Minister of Transport, Wajih Azaizeh, met in
Ramallah with his Palestinian counterpart, Assem Salem, to discuss boosting
cooperation between the two countries, according to the Jordan News Agency,
Petra.

The two transport officials agreed on the need to increase
cooperation in the area of smart applications and shift to more modern
technologies to stay abreast with global developments in this field,
particularly after Palestine had formed a national team to conduct studies and
present their recommendations on intelligent transportation.
Azaizeh lauded Palestine as a critical stop in the regional
interconnection project, which will positively impact all partner countries in
the project. The project will help
facilitate the movement of individuals and goods between the two countries.
The Palestinian minister commended Jordan's support to
Palestine, led by His Majesty
King Abdullah, underlining the deep-rooted and
historical relationship between the two peoples.
