The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the rescue and ambulance teams of the Jerash Civil Defense Directorate responded to a collision between a medium-sized passenger bus and a "Diana" vehicle on the Jerash–Ajloun road, near the Souf Triangle.

According to the spokesperson, the accident resulted in two fatalities and 20 people sustaining various injuries and bruises. The ambulance teams provided the necessary first aid to the injured and transported them, along with the deceased, to Jerash Governmental Hospital, Princess Haya Military Hospital, Iman Governmental Hospital, and Safa Specialized Hospital. He noted that the injured are currently receiving medical treatment.
The spokesperson also confirmed that a traffic investigation will be opened to determine the causes of the accident.
