AMMAN — The
seismological observatory Tuesday recorded two earthquakes in the southwestern region of the island of
Cyprus, but no Jordanian reported feeling them, according to Jo24.

The first earthquake was recorded, at 10:11pm Amman time
at a depth of 17km; it measured 4.8 on Richter scale.
At exactly 11:02pm Amman time, another earthquake of a
magnitude of 4.0 on Richter scale was recorded southwest of
Cyprus at a depth
of 60km.
The two tremors were moderate and far from Jordan, the
observatory said.
