Dubai – The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre has announced the launch of the region’s most advanced satellite, the "Mohammed bin Zayed Sat."
In a press release issued last night, the center stated that the satellite was launched at 11:00 Dubai time from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, USA, aboard a Falcon 9 rocket.

The satellite marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s journey in space exploration, as it was fully developed by Emirati engineers at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre.
The Mohammed bin Zayed Sat represents a groundbreaking achievement in the UAE’s satellite development efforts. It was developed by a team of Emirati engineers following its announcement in 2020 by Sheikh Mohammed bin
Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai.
Weighing 750 kilograms and measuring 3 x 5 meters, the satellite introduces advanced Earth observation technologies, representing a qualitative leap in the field.
