UN Security Council Holds Closed Consultations on Syria

New York – The members of the UN Security Council are holding closed consultations today, Thursday, on Syria at the request of Algeria to receive the latest updates on the developments in the country.اضافة اعلان

It is expected that the UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, will provide a briefing via video link from Damascus.

This will be the second time this month that the Security Council has met to discuss the situation in Syria, following their regular meeting on January 8 regarding political and humanitarian developments.
