AMMAN — In
the
UN’s 2022 Local Online Service Index, an e-government survey published
biannually, Amman tied for 14th place in the technology rating with several
other global cities, including New York, Rome, Lisbon, Singapore, and Istanbul,
Al-Ghad News reported.

The index measures 86 performance indicators across
five criteria: institutional framework, content provision, services provision,
participation and engagement, and technology, which evaluates the
technology features of portals in terms of how content is made available to site users,
according to the UN.
Amman ranked high in all five criteria, with a total
average of 0.5581, compared with its 2020 average ranking of 0.3875, according
to Al-Ghad.
