UNICEF: 74 Children Martyred in Gaza During the First Week of 2025

Amman – The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) announced today, Thursday, that at least 74 children have been martyred in the first seven days of 2025 due to ongoing violence in the Gaza Strip, including attacks on a designated safe area.اضافة اعلان

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell posted on the platform "X" stating that 8 infants and newborns have died since December 26 due to hypothermia, while over one million children in Gaza are living in temporary tents, unable to withstand the low temperatures.

She added that UNICEF has long warned that inadequate shelter, lack of access to nutrition and healthcare, poor health conditions, and winter weather are putting all children in Gaza at risk, particularly newborns and those with health conditions, who are especially vulnerable.
