Amman – UNRWA spokesperson Inas Hamdan stated that the agency continues to provide its essential and life-saving services in the Gaza Strip despite the current challenges.

According to the official website of the organization, Hamdan emphasized on Monday that any reduction in UNRWA services or harm to these essential services would have severe consequences on the daily living conditions of the residents, describing the situation in the strip as "complex and difficult.
" She noted that the residents have been suffering from an ongoing war for more than 14 months, which weakens the ability to cope with this unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
She explained that UNRWA plays a vital role as a lifeline for humanitarian response, providing more than 50% of the food aid to Gaza's residents, along with more than 60% of essential healthcare services. She pointed out that the absence of medical services threatens the lives of the residents and disrupts their main lifeline.
