US commends Jordan’s peacekeeping role

AMMAN — US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday commended Jordan’s peacekeeping efforts.اضافة اعلان

In a statement by the US Department of State, Blinken was quoted as saying: “As you know, Egypt played a critical role in helping to broker the ceasefire, and Jordan has long been a voice for peace and stability in the region. We’re grateful for their continued engagement, and I look forward to the meetings there tomorrow.”

Blinken arrived in Amman on Tuesday night as part of an ongoing Middle East tour, which features stops in Jordan and Egypt, in hopes of bolstering the ceasefire and to reaffirm the importance of a two-state solution in resolving the conflict.
