AMMAN – The
National Security Advisor to theWhite House, Jake Sullivan, said on Thursday that the United States is deeply
concerned about the injury of individuals from the
Jordanian field hospital in
Gaza in an attack near the field hospital.

Sullivan added, via X: "We are deeply
grateful for the medical professionals who provide critical care to the
Palestinians in Gaza," noting that "their essential role in the
conflict must be protected."
He continued, "Jordan is an important
ally. We thank His Majesty
King Abdullah and the Jordanians for providing this
support."
The official spokesperson for the
Jordanian Armed Forces - the Arab Army (JAF), had stated on Wednesday that seven members of the
Jordanian field hospital in Gaza were injured at the entrance to the emergency
department in the hospital while attempting to assist Palestinian citizens who
were injured during Israeli shelling and were transferred to the hospital.
The
U.S. Ambassador to Jordan, Yael Lempert,
confirmed the White House's concern about the Jordanian medical personnel who
were injured in Gaza in an attack near the Jordanian field hospital.
She stated that the United States is committed
to its strong and long-standing partnership with Jordan as they support
humanitarian efforts in Gaza.
