US embassy struggling to process student visas, releases guidelines

AMMAN — The US Embassy in Amman released a video on Tuesday saying it was dealing with a backlog of student visas due to the pandemic, and that processing might finish later than normal.اضافة اعلان



The embassy asked students to check with their respective schools in the United States and ask about their policies on starting the semester later. It also urged students to check back with the embassy’s website regularly to see if there are any available appointments.

Finally, if there are no available appointments, students can send the embassy an email at [email protected] and ask to be added to a waiting list. It urged students who do get an appointment to have their paperwork ready.
