AMMAN — Jordan voted in favor of a resolution which allows the Ukrainian president to
address the
UN General Assembly during its upcoming meetings in New York,
Ad-Dustour News reported.

Under the vote,
Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be allowed to deliver a recorded
speech to the General Assembly without being present.
“Ukraine’s
president can submit a recorded speech, which will be played during the General
Assembly’ debate at its 77th session,” Ad-Dustour said.
It said the speech
will be heard after its representative, Ukraine’s representative to the
UN, who
will be physically at the assembly’s hall, introduces the speech.
The resolution stipulated that this procedure
applies to general discussions for the current session only.
Some 101 countries
voted in favor of the resolution, while 7 countries rejected it, and 19
countries abstained. Some others missed the ballot.
