In an interview with the Jordan News Agency, Petra, on Saturday, Rubin said that the number of Jordanians completing Umrah trips has been on the rise since August 2022.

He predicted that the demand for Umrah trips will remain "strong and active" through the end of Ramadan.

“Over the past month, the high and increasing demand for Umrah trips was driven by school holidays, and appropriate and affordable prices,” Rubin said.

By land, the price of an Umrah trip ranges between JD250 and JD275 per person for a quadruple room at a three-star hotel, while a trip by air costs JD450 to JD470 per person for the same hotel accommodation.

During the past six months, 2,200 buses transported pilgrims for Umrah, Rubin added.
