AMMAN — The Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) has issued a warning that an atmospheric instability will affect the Kingdom. اضافة اعلان

The forecast indicates a significant rise in temperatures and prevailing dusty weather, with relatively hot conditions expected across the country, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Localized rain showers with thunderstorms expected
The JMD highlighted the likelihood of local and scattered rain showers in various areas for a limited period. These showers may be accompanied by thunderstorms, posing potential risks.

The department also cautions about low horizontal visibility due to dust and advises caution on slippery roads affected by rainfall.

Lower temperatures on SundayOn Sunday, the effect of atmospheric instability is expected to intensify, resulting in a decrease in temperatures.

The weather will generally be dusty and moderate in mountainous areas and plains, while remaining relatively hot in other regions.

Scattered showers are forecasted countrywide, particularly in the southern and southeastern districts, including the city of Aqaba.

The JMD warned of heavy downpours often accompanied by thunder and hail, which may lead to the formation of torrential rains in valleys and low-lying areas.

Additionally, strong gusts with speeds occasionally exceeding 70km/h are anticipated in certain regions.

Scattered showers continue on Monday
On Monday, atmospheric instability is set to intensify further. The weather will persist in being dusty and moderate in temperature in mountainous regions and plains, while remaining relatively hot in other areas.

Scattered showers are expected in different regions, particularly in the southern areas, including the city of Aqaba.

These showers could be heavy and accompanied by thunder and hail, resulting in the formation of torrential rains in valleys and low-lying areas. Southwesterly winds will be active, occasionally exceeding speeds of 70km/h in certain locations.
