AMMAN—The Kingdom is set to be affected by a state of atmospheric
instability, and rain is forecast to fall in separate areas countrywide with
heavy downpour in the Kingdom's southern, eastern and central regions, Jordan
Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Precipitation is accompanied by thunder and hail, which
leads to flood formation in valleys and low-lying areas, including Aqaba and
the Dead Sea area, the department added.
In the morning hours, light flurries of snow could fall over
the southern mountain hilltops for a limited period. With the night hours, rain
chances tapers off in the Kingdom's northern and central regions, while
downpour continues in the southern and eastern areas, the JMD said.
In its report, the JMD warns of the danger of flash floods
in valleys and low areas, including the Dead Sea, the Gulf of Aqaba and Wadi
Araba, as well as slippery roads, thunderstorms, and wind gusts , especially in
the Kingdom's southern and eastern regions.
On Sunday, there is an opportunity of light showers of rain
in the morning hours, especially in the Kingdom's southwestern areas. With the
late night hours, fog is set to form over hilltops and the desert areas, the
JMD noted.
The minimum and maximum temperatures in Amman range between 3-12
degrees Celsius, in the Dead Sea 10-19, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 11-20 degrees
Celsius, according to the (JMD) report.
