Upon Royal directive, masters scholarship under Shireen Abu Akleh's name

AMMAN — Under the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, an annual scholarship for a master's degree in journalism and media at the Jordan Media Institute (JMI) will be allocated to Palestinian female journalists under the name of Shireen Abu Akleh, at His Majesty's expense, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

The royal directive aimed to honor the late journalist Shireen Abu Akleh. In appreciation of her professionalism in media work and her excellence in performing her duties to courageously report events from inside the occupied Palestinian territories and convey the suffering of the Palestinian people, the JMI said Sunday in a statement.
