AMMAN — In
response to the directives of His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief
Yousef Issawi, on Sunday inaugurated a number of Royal initiatives in the
southern governorate of Tafileh, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The initiatives included the construction of 100
houses for underprivileged families, establishing a factory and providing it
with means of transportation, establishing a specialized center to train young
people on industrial professions in the new industrial zone, establishing an
integrated park in the Basira district to serve as an outlet for people and
children in the area, and providing the municipality of Tafileh with a trash
compactor and a loader.
During a meeting with local community leaders and
key figures and representatives from the investment, youth and women sectors in
Tafileh, Issawi, who is also the head of the follow-up committee for the
implementation of Royal initiatives, was briefed on the governorate’s main
requirements in order to take steps to meet those needs within available
resources.
The Royal Court chief also inspected other Royal initiatives
that are under implementation in the governorate, accompanied by Tafileh
Governor Mohammad Abu Jamous and the President of Tafila Technical University
Omar Tarawneh.
