The program offers one-day trips to locations in the
northern, central, and southern regions of the Kingdom, as well as overnight
trips to Petra and Wadi Rum, and covers more than half the cost of trips for
Jordanians.
A statement released by the ministry on Wednesday called on
people to take advantage of the program’s promotional offers through its mobile
app: "Jannah.jo."
The ministry added that "public health and safety
measures at tourist sites are maintained through comprehensive sterilizations
for archaeological places, visitor centers, museums, and ticket halls.”
Nizar Stetieh, chairman of
the temporary committee on the Jordan Society of Tourism and Travel Agents, previously told Jordan News that around 120 hotel facilities and tourist camps are contributing
to the program. He added that the number of hotel facilities based in Aqaba
stood at around 25.
“Recently, ‘Urdunna Jannah’ has
started to arrange trips that extend to three days, with one night in Petra and
another in Aqaba or Wadi Rum,” Stetieh said.
