During this period, gasoline vehicle clearances decreased by
21 percent, bringing the clearance volume for gasoline vehicles to about 14,700
vehicles, compared with 18,600 vehicles in the same period last year, according
to Al-Mamlaka TV.
Meanwhile, diesel vehicle clearances decreased by 12
percent, bringing the volume to 8,900 vehicles, compared with 10,000 vehicles
for the same period last year.
Hybrid vehicle clearances witnessed a 32 percent decrease,
with only 12,400 vehicles cleared during the 11-month period, compared to
18,000 vehicles in the same period of 2021.
Abu Nasser attributed the decline in clearance volumes of
petrol, diesel, and even hybrid vehicles to the high demand for electric
vehicles, which increased by more than 183 percent during the first 11 months
of this year.
