AMMAN—Saturday
will see very cold weather, with rain forecast almost countrywide, sometimes
heavy in the Kingdom's western areas, resulting in floods in valleys and low
areas, which may be accompanied by thunder and hail, Jordan Meteorological
Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Downpour
gradually weakens during the night hours, and very cold weather prevails almost
countrywide and fog set to form in many areas, the JMD added, according to the
Jordan News Agency, Petra.
In its
report, the JMD warned of the danger of floods in the valleys and low areas in
the Kingdom's western areas, as well as risk of slippery roads in downpour
areas and low horizontal visibility due to the formation of fog in the
highlands.
On Sunday,
mercury will rise "slightly," and the weather will be cold almost
countrywide and relatively cold in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and Aqaba,
with a weak possibility of light rain in the morning hours in the Kingdom's
northern and central regions, the JMD said.
The minimum
and maximum temperatures in Amman range between 3-10 degrees Celsius, in the
Dead Sea 10-18, and in the Gulf of Aqaba 9-19 degrees Celsius, according to the
(JMD) report.
