Developed in collaboration with the Netherlands Institute for Multiparty Democracy (NIMD) and funded by the European Union (EU), the Voter Compass aims to foster "greater" voter engagement and "informed" decision-making during elections. It also seeks to promote transparency among Jordan's political parties regarding electoral rules.
In its statement on Wednesday, Rased said a team of experts crafted 95 questions, which were posed to leaders of 37 out of 38 registered Jordanian political parties. The responses were analyzed to map the target parties' ideological orientations, providing a "clear" guide for voters.
The study's results offer "valuable" insights for voters, showing the parties' stances on legislative processes and their potential role in overseeing Jordan's governance should they succeed in the upcoming elections, the statement pointed out.
The Voter Compass is part of the broader EU Support to Jordanian Democratic Institutions and Development program, implemented by Expertise France and its partners.
