Wadi Rum ranks on ‘most Instagrammable’ places in the world list

Travel, compiled a list of the "50 Most Instagrammable Places in the
World" and Wadi Rum came ranked on the list as number 43.
The Valley of the MoonWadi Rum is known for its diverse
landscapes, warm temperatures, chiseled canyons, and impressive caves.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site was
even featured in the live-action adaptation of Aladdin, standing in for the
fictitious city of Agrabah.
Also dubbed the Valley of the Moon,
Wadi Rum has been the setting of numerous sci-fi films, including The Martian,
Star Wars the Rise of Skywalker, and Dune.
The desert sunsets and sunrises are quite
popular as some of the most Instagrammable moments. And the desert region of
Wadi Rum has a total of 349 million hashtags on Instagram and TikTok.
Regional destinationsOther notable destinations in the
region Turkey's Istanbul, where the blend of East and West creates a photo-friendly
city with plenty of interesting sights to capture, from the pastel-colored
minarets to the world-famous Grand Bazaar, and Morocco's Marrakech, known for
its opulent palaces and luxury, as well as its vibrant markets.
As for Istanbul, the city accumulated
more than 120 million hashtags on Instagram and 44 billion views on TikTok.
For Marrakech, the city has a total
of 3 billion hashtags on TikTok and Instagram combined.
Global destinationsLeading the ranking for most
“Instagrammable” place to visit was Milan, Italy, followed by London, England; Paris,
France; Istanbul, Turkey; New York City, US; Nepal; Chicago, US; Bali,
Indonesia; Sri Lanka; and Sydney Australia. These were the top 10 places on the
50-place list.
The list was compiled using a unique
scoring system that analyzed the number of hashtags and TikTok views per
destination, sample survey results of Big 7 Media’s 1.5 million audiences, and
from our global editorial team, according to Big 7 Travel.
