Water Ministry in discussions to finance National Carrier project —spokesperson

AMMAN — Spokesperson of the Ministry of Water Omar Salameh confirmed Sunday that the ministry received promises from a number of donor countries and is contact with local parties, including the Social Security Investment Fund, to contribute to financing the implementation of the National Carrier project. اضافة اعلان

Salameh told JO24 that the qualified companies need four months to complete tender documents, adding said that is likely to start implementing the project next year.

He said that the National Carrier project is one of the strategic projects that the ministry is working on to secure the Kingdom's water needs in the upcoming years.

Salameh noted that JD 500 million have been allocated so far, and the ministry is working with donor countries to support the project and is talking to local authorities about co-financing as well.
