Amman — The Director-General of the Food and Drug Administration, Nizar Mhaidat , affirmed that Jordanian food and pharmaceutical products
enjoy distinguished confidence in foreign markets and have proven their
competitiveness in achieving international standards and requirements related
to validity and quality, noting that the Jordanian drug is exported to 73
countries and food to 100 countries worldwide.

During his visit, Mhaidat and the accompanying a team of the United
Pharmaceutical Industry Company, one of MS Pharma Group, added that Jordan’s
food and drug regulations are qualitative and pioneering and constitute an
emulated experience in several countries worldwide.
The general manager of the company’s factory, Dr. Nidal Khalaf, praised the
efforts made by the institution in supporting the national pharmaceutical
industry and simplifying and speeding up the procedures for registering
medicines and continuous communication with those in charge of pharmaceutical
factories.
It is noteworthy that the continuous periodic visits carried out by the
Corporation to food and pharmaceutical factories within its strategic plan of
action to follow up the manufacturing process and explore its needs and aspects
of support on the ground in a manner that serves the national interest.
