Raed Al Khattab, head of the JMD, indicated that the Kingdom will likely be impacted by two cold fronts next week.
In an interview with Al-Mamlakah T.V., Khattab contended, “The weather will be stable across the Kingdom, while temperatures will see a drop compared to their annual average. The maximum temperatures in Amman will range between 5-7 degrees Celsius while the normal average usually reaches 12 degrees Celsius.”
He also indicated that “the maximum average in the northern, middle, and particularly the southern highlands will range between 2-4 degrees Celsius, and that temperatures at night will drop to minus Celsius.”
Khattab also added that by Sunday evening, there will be another depression accompanied by rainfall for the next week. A cold air mass is coming from northeastern Europe, centering in Turkey, and bringing severe winds to the Middle East.”
He also expected another weather depression to affect the Kingdom late Thursday night.
Khattab warned of the low visibility during the night due to fog formation over highlands and parts of the Badiah region.
