Why was MP Muhammad Al-Fayez dismissed from Parliament?

AMMAN — On Wednesday, the House of Representatives approved with a majority vote the recommendation of the Legal Committee to dismiss MP Muhammad Enad Al-Fayez. According to Saraya News, this dismissal was due to three violations committed by the representative. اضافة اعلان

First, Fayez had violated parliamentary and diplomatic norms in his manner of address in a letter to a fellow Arab country, in which he had offended the Kingdom and its reputation.

Secondly, the MP had violated the Lower House’s provisions in regard to absence from Parliament sessions.

Finally, Fayez was determined to have committed perjury under legal oath, unjustly receiving financial allocations during his absence from Parliament. He also violated the provisions and rules of the parliamentary code of conduct.
