AMMAN — A winter storm will affect Jordan, causing
strong winds and heavy rain starting from Monday morning. According to WASM,
snow showers are expected over the mountain peaks of southern Jordan.
Wind speed is expected to reach 90km/h causing heavy dust to
fall over the desert areas. Along with cold weather, heavy rain is expected to
cause floods in the northern and central regions of the Kingdom. The storm will
last until Wednesday, then proceed to weaken gradually. Rain showers will
continue until Thursday.
WASM has issued a red warning starting from Monday till
Wednesday due to the intense nature of the weather.
