AMMAN — Europe’s low-cost carrier
Wizz Air
has announced the launch of a new ultra-low-fare route from its base at London
Luton Airport to Amman, as of December 13, according to a press release.

Tickets are available on wizzair.com or via the
airline’s mobile app, with fares starting from £36.
Wizz Air will operate flights between Luton and
Amman three times a week: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday.
“The launch of this route comes within the framework
of the Jordan Tourism Board and marks the start of a new direct flight through
Queen Alia International Airport connecting
Amman and London. It also promotes
Jordanian tourism, highlighting the many positive attractions that the country
has to offer,” Minister of Tourism and Antiquities and Chairman of the Jordan
Tourism Board Nayef Al-Fayez said.
“We are very excited to announce the launch of our
new route to Amman, a capital city bursting with life and the gateway to the
historic country of Jordan,” Managing Director of Wizz Air UK Marion Geoffroy
said.

of our wider tourism strategy. This route is particularly important as it will
enable tourists to travel directly from the UK to Jordan, promoting Jordan as a
destination for tourists throughout Europe.”

a connection to a key tourism market for Jordan through a low-cost carrier and
offering yet another affordable travel option for UK tourists to visit the
Kingdom,” Airport International Group CEO Nicolas Claude said.
