AMMAN — Of
the 1,156 judges in Jordan, 25 percent are women; also, 15 percent of public
prosecutors are women, according to
Jordanian Judicial Council data contained
in the 2023 general budget draft law.

Of the total number of judges and prosecutors, 93
percent are specialized; 81 judges and prosecutors distributed across the
Kingdom’s courts are specialized in domestic violence cases, a local news
outlet reported.
There are 78 courts in the Kingdom, 23 of which in
Amman.
