The talk was hosted by Hayat Center-Rased in cooperation with the Greater Amman Municipality-Community Development Committee.

Rifai stated that celebrating Women's Day in Jordan has become “protocol” to some, adding that the role of women has witnessed a renaissance since the start of this year, coinciding with the launch of the phases of the political modernization vision.

He also stressed the importance of gender equality in wages, which came in response to broad demands during the past years.

Rifai added: "Women in the Arab world suffer, whether politically, economically, or in terms of wages.”

During the convention, Rifai said that many political parties have adjusted their conditions to comply with the amendments to the Political Parties Law, which will give a new face to the Parliament in Jordan.
