AMMAN— The Ministry of Public Works and Housing announced on Friday the start of works on the (Al-Mahatta) bridge, the area in front of the Traffic Department and the Amman Municipality Court in Amman, as part of the works of the first package of the Bus Rapid Transit project, and in cooperation with the Central Traffic Department, according to Khaberni News.

The ministry said in a statement, that the traffic movement will be diverted towards (Amman -
Zarqa), starting from the exit of the Al-Mahatta bridge to the left side, and continuing to the permanent lane of the Bus Rapid Transit, according to the directional signs, while the traffic movement towards (Zarqa-Amman) will be diverted on the area next to Amman Municipality plant nursery by deviating to the right towards Al-Nakhil Road and returning to the main road (Army Road).
The ministry confirmed that traffic diversions were decided in accordance with the public safety elements and warning and guiding signs, calling on drivers to adhere to drive safely and abide by the instructions of its cadres working in the field and partners in the Public Security Directorate.
