Workshop held to prep JMSP's action plan

AMMAN — A joint workshop to prepare an action plan for Jordan Municipal Support Program's (JMSP) first year began Thursday, organized by the Local Administration Ministry in collaboration with the US Agency for International Development (USAID), according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.  اضافة اعلان

During an opening ceremony, the ministry's Secretary-General, Hussein Mhaidat, emphasized USAID's significant contribution to local administration, municipalities, water, education, health, and human resource investment through its projects and initiatives.

The USAID has helped to improve gender equality, wise governance, comprehensive growth, and service quality, he said, adding that the workshop aims to strengthen local administration and economic development by defining priorities and future plans.

The goal of the USAID-funded JMSP is to enable municipalities to meet the needs of their local communities and provide better services, Mhaidat added.
