According to a university statement on Thursday, the survey, which included a sample of 1,484 women, aimed to gather information about women’s active engagement in political work, understand the motivations and experiences of women who have participated in political processes, and assess their role in the Jordanian political scene.

The findings are expected to contribute to the development of strategies and programs that support women's political empowerment.

The results revealed that 41.6% of respondents participated in political activities in the past five years.

Additionally, 16.7% stated that their national duty was the primary motivation for their political participation, while 36.1% expressed that they feel political parties in Jordan encourage them to engage in political participation in an effective and equal manner.

Furthermore, the results indicated that 57.9% of respondents believe that providing support in various areas—such as leadership training, skill development, financial support for election campaigns, legal and political reforms, mentorship from experienced female politicians, media support for women's issues, and increased participation of civil society organizations—helps them overcome challenges.

On the other hand, 12.4% of participants highlighted the need for support in leadership training and skill development, while 5.5% emphasized the need for support related to legal and political reforms.
