Yarmouk University is holding talks with a number of US higher education institutions and has agreed with Virginia Tech University (VT) to identify common Master’s-level electrical and computer engineering courses as part of a plan to expand partnerships with world-renowned colleges.

The two universities also discussed cooperation on the "One Health" program Yarmouk University will launch in the next academic year after receiving official approval, according to Yarmouk University President Nabil Heilat.
Heilat said that Yarmouk has also discussed research cooperation with the
University of California Irvine (UCI), including UCI scholarships for doctoral students from Yarmouk University, and Arizona State University (ASU) in digital learning/education and innovation, and entrepreneurship.
Yarmouk University discussed the prospect of a joint professional certificate in cybersecurity with Purdue, a public research university that advances discoveries in science, technology, engineering and math.
Also as part of the cooperation program, Yarmouk University has discussed with the University of Missouri, Oakland University, and the University of Michigan-Dearborn sending faculty members from Yarmouk University's Engineering college to work on joint research projects, and also opened channels with George Washington University and Binghamton University.
