French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Paris will host talks on Ukraine on Wednesday, with participation from several European countries and others. This statement came after a meeting with journalists on Tuesday, where he discussed the developments in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Macron considered the Ukrainian summit held on Monday in Paris as a significant step in discussing future actions regarding the war, emphasizing that it was not intended to take a stance on the actions of the United States.
The French president also mentioned that he had held phone conversations with U.S. President Donald Trump before and after the summit. He expressed his belief that the United States does not seek to withdraw from NATO.
Macron further suggested that Trump might be able to restart a productive dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He noted that France's talks on Ukraine, scheduled for the next day, would involve European and other countries.
As diplomatic negotiations between Russia and the United States regarding peace in Ukraine intensify, European countries have emphasized that "peace in Ukraine cannot be achieved without Europe."
In this context, Paris hosted an extraordinary security summit on Monday, February 17, which was attended by prominent European nations.
In another development, high-ranking officials from the United States and Russia met on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia to discuss the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
Since February 24, 2022, Russia has been conducting a military invasion of Ukraine, demanding Kyiv's renunciation of joining Western military alliances, a condition that Ukraine views as interference in its sovereign affairs.
