On Monday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held official talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two friendly nations and discussed the latest developments concerning the Ukrainian crisis.

According to a statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia's commitment to supporting international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis and achieving peace.
In turn, President Zelensky expressed his gratitude and appreciation for Saudi Arabia's efforts, highlighting its pivotal role in the Middle East and the world.
The meeting took place in Jeddah, one day before high-level talks between Ukrainian and American officials were scheduled, where the United States hopes to make significant progress toward ending the Russia-Ukraine war.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed hope that the meeting between American and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia would proceed positively.
Rubio also noted that further details still need to be worked out regarding the mineral agreement between Washington and Kyiv. On his way to Saudi Arabia, where he and U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz will meet with a senior Ukrainian delegation on Tuesday, Rubio mentioned, "Washington needs to understand Kyiv’s position and get a sense of what concessions will be made."
