The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated in a press release that the purpose of the emergency ministerial meeting is to reaffirm the consistent position of Palestine, the Arab world, and the Islamic community, and to support the rights of the Palestinian people.

Egyptian Foreign Minister, Badr Abdel Aty, has conducted communications with several of his counterparts in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Iran to discuss developments related to the Palestinian issue.
