European Council President to Participate in Emergency Arab Summit

European Council President Antonio Costa is participating in the emergency Arab summit hosted by the Arab Republic of Egypt in Cairo on behalf of the European Union to discuss the latest developments in Gaza.اضافة اعلان

In statements following his arrival in Cairo, Costa reaffirmed the European Union's commitment to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace in the region based on a two-state solution, in line with relevant United Nations resolutions. He also stated that President Costa would hold a series of bilateral meetings with regional leaders.

He emphasized the European Council's support for early recovery and reconstruction efforts in Gaza as a fundamental part of the future Palestinian state, in accordance with United Nations resolutions and international law. -(Petra)
