Occupied Jerusalem – Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the Noble Sanctuary in occupied Jerusalem, today, Wednesday, under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.

The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem reported in a statement that dozens of ultra-right settlers stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque in successive groups from the Mughrabi Gate, performing provocative religious rituals in its courtyards and conducting suspicious tours.
The statement added that the Israeli police intensified their presence at the gates of Al-Aqsa and in the Old City area, obstructing the entry of worshipers into the mosque.
Since the start of the Israeli comprehensive assault on the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank in October 2023, Israeli occupation forces have tightened their measures at the gates of Al-Aqsa and the entrances to the Old City. Settler gangs have stormed the mosque's courtyards 256 times during 2024.
