Germany’s outgoing Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock has issued a warning to former U.S. President Donald Trump against pressuring Ukraine into accepting a Russia-imposed peace deal.

Speaking during a meeting with her Nordic, Polish, and French counterparts on Denmark’s Bornholm Island on Tuesday, Baerbock stated:
“It cannot be in the interest of one of the world's most influential players—the United States—to strike a deal or treaty that leads to further aggression. We need a reliable and lasting peace,”
emphasizing that this is the position Europe firmly stands behind.
Baerbock added that Russian President Vladimir Putin has made it clear—through actions such as hybrid attacks on data cables and the use of the so-called “shadow fleet” to bypass sanctions in the Baltic Sea—that he is not seeking cooperation, but rather continuing aggression.
