Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi traveled to Rome to participate in the second round of indirect talks between Tehran and Washington.

According to Iranian state television, Araghchi headed to Rome leading a delegation that included Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Majid Takht-Ravanchi, Deputy for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi, and Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei.

On Friday evening, Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi—whose country plays a mediating role between Tehran and Washington—arrived in Rome.
