This initiative is a significant part of the larger relief efforts Jordan has been carrying out since the onset of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, aimed at providing safe shelter for families affected by the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
Jordan, under the leadership of King Abdullah II, continues to play a pivotal role in supporting the Palestinian people. The Jordanian humanitarian corridor, through both land and air bridges, remains one of the most important channels ensuring the rapid and efficient delivery of aid to Gaza. Since the crisis began, Jordan’s aid convoys have consistently delivered food, medical supplies, and relief materials, along with field hospitals offering healthcare to the injured and sick amidst the challenging conditions they face.
Dr. Hussein Al-Shibli, Secretary General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization, emphasized that this step is part of Jordan’s ongoing commitment to intensify humanitarian efforts and provide all possible forms of support to the people of Gaza. He stated, “The sending of prefabricated homes is a part of our continuous dedication to assist our brothers and sisters in Gaza. We aim to provide swift and effective solutions to ease their suffering. Jordan will always be at the forefront of nations extending a helping hand to its neighbors, guided by the directives of the Hashemite leadership and the Kingdom’s long-standing humanitarian legacy.”
The organization confirmed that sending these prefabricated homes is just one component of a broader plan to offer additional support to the Palestinian people, including reconstruction efforts and strengthening the infrastructure for those affected.
