Kremlin: Russia and the US Now Focus on Peace, Not War

The Kremlin said on Sunday that the importance of the phone call between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump lies in the fact that Moscow and Washington will now focus on peace, not war.اضافة اعلان

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said in a video message to reporter Pavel Zarubin: "This is a strong signal that we will now try to resolve problems through dialogue... now we will talk about peace, not war."

He added that the first meeting between Putin and Trump would be of special significance considering the current circumstances. He also stated that Western sanctions would not be an obstacle to talks between Russia and the US, as they could be "lifted as quickly as they were imposed."
