The conversation, as shared by the Saudi Defense Minister on the social media platform X on Monday, focused on "Saudi-American relations and the prospects for cooperation in the defense sector."

Both sides also discussed "regional developments, the efforts being made toward them, the shared vision of both friendly countries to support the security and stability of the region and the world, and other topics of mutual interest," according to the same source.

In February, the Saudi Defense Minister met with his American counterpart during a visit to Washington to discuss "ways to develop military and defense cooperation."
